Bill Durham - Biography

Country Music Singer/Guitarist Bill Durham of Clarksdale, Mississippi

Cut his teeth on Waylon, Haggard, and Cash shortly after getting his

First guitar at the age of 11. By the time he was 16, he was a seasoned

Performer opening for the legendary Ernest Tubb. When Bill was 18

Years old, he recorded his first record at Sam Phillips Recording Studio

(Sun Records) in Memphis, Tennessee.

In 2004, Bill released his first CD titled My Kind Of Music on his

Own record label, Bull Records. My Kind Of Music was a mixture of

Classic country, rockabilly, and roots music (Americana). My Kind Of

Music was well received by music critics and radio programmers world-

Wide.

The CD received considerable radio airplay in Europe, Australia, and New

Zealand. The CD also received airplay on numerous small market country

Radio stations in the United States. Two rockabilly songs on the CD,

“Pink Cadillac” and “You Ain’t Foolin’ Nobody”, peaked at # 1 on The

IndieWorld Country Chart . Also, “Pink Cadillac” was ranked # 19 among

The 200 most played songs in Europe by The European Country Music

Association (ECMA) on The ECMA Top 100 Country Radio Airplay Chart.

Bill’s new album, I’ve Got The Song, will be released in September 2007.

The new CD contains 12 tracks written by some of the best songwriters in

Nashville including Ronny Scaife, Don Singleton, and Paul Craft. The new

Album also features three rockabilly songs written by Jimmy Evans and

Andy Anderson who are both members of The Rockabilly Hall Of Fame.

Finally, the new album features a song written by the late Conway Twitty,

A member of The Country Music Hall Of Fame.
